Summary

Structured questionnaire, 10 items, to be completed by substance use workers either from direct interview with the client, or from the worker's impression and personal experience of the client.

The CISS is a single page outcome evaluation tool that was developed to quantify workers' impressions of their clients quickly and in a standardised way. The aim of this tool is to evaluate effectiveness of the treatment services provided. The CISS can be used as client assessment tool, as well as a service assessment tool to identify where change or improvement may be required.
